Google+ is the newest kid on the social networking block. It's experiencing rapid growth, growing much faster than Twitter and Facebook each did in the same time frame. This growth plus the fact that it is well, Google, has many marketers working to figure out how to increase traffic and leads from Google+.
At HubSpot, we looked at data from our entire customer base (more than 5,000 businesses). We compared referral traffic levels from plus.Google.com (Google+) for websites that have Google's +1 button installed and for those that don't. The result? Websites that use Google's +1 button generated 3.5 times more traffic from Google+ than websites that don't have the button installed.
Marketing Takeaway
Use social sharing buttons! While this statement seems obviously many businesses overlook their value and don't use them. Social sharing buttons serve two important purposes. The first is they make it super easy and quick for a visitor to
share your content on social media sites
. The second is social sharing buttons act as a call-to-action on your blog that helps remind visitors that their online connections might be interested in the content as well. If you aren't yet using the Google +1 button on your website, it's definitely time to start.
Did you see an increase in traffic from Google+ after adding Google's +1 button to your website or blog?

Agreed! Google's newest online social media party, having increased traffic to sites, think percentages can increase over time if, hopefully Google opens the doors for 5000 followers threshold soon.

Google is trying to take over everything and its crazy. The google+ is a great thing because without myspace, facebook doesn't have any competition.

Doesn't this seem kinda obvious, though? It's like saying people that drink orange juice are three times as likely to spill orange juice on their top...

This is true. As soon as I installed it, my organic traffic from Google went up.

It's Google who owns the button and the social network and it's Google also who "rules" when it comes to search results and traffic. So no surprise! :)
