From an SEO perspective, try to incorporate keywords that people search with into your headlines to help people find it. People are always looking for "tips," "tricks," "rules," "examples" and so forth.

I've also found that headlines that incorporate references to pop culture can be great pulls. For example: 
"5 Things Boardwalk Empire Can Teach You About Online Marketing"
