Let's talk about sex ... and social media. Yeah. You heard us right. As it turns out, social media is a whole lot like sex. Not convinced? Check out our new slide deck below, which you can also find on SlideShare here. The similarities are really quite striking.
Have a look, and feel free to tweet the deck (#socialsmushing) or share it on Facebook. And hey, don't feel awkward ... everybody's doing it (in more ways than one).

This is not only informative but a brilliant example of an excellent communication and use of 'like' and sharing.
Awesome.

I love all these facts - but what I do not like is - Jobs are still making it hard for #WAHP to do that - they do not understand what we bring to the table - we are forced to start our own business, because people do not utilize us.

I found these facts interesting and tweeted quite a few. I have been trying for the past three months to develop my social media presence. This post points out why I must continue to do so.

Haha -- thanks, Michael, but I can't really take credit for this one besides some help finalizing the deck and drafting the blog post to house it. Most of the credit goes to my colleagues Rebecca Churt and Marta Kagan. Glad you like it though!

Tell Rebecca I said hello! She was my account manager when I was with Redesign Properties

#14 about businesses using social media to spy on the competition is really amazing.
I actually think that if we spend more time on our own social media campaigns than looking at the competition, we can get a lot more out of it.
Rebecca Churt 2:33 PM on November 08, 2012
@Michael Kiel - Thanks for the kudos. Hope you are well.

This is a great article that shows you how important using social media for your marketing strategies is. And not only are tons of people using social media, but Google uses social media to rank your webpages. Social media allows you to share what you have to offer as a business. Using social media aggregators like tweetdeck can shorten the time it takes to add new content and build a larger presence on those networks.
