Episode 35 - April 10, 2009
(Episode Length: 21 minutes, 26 seconds)

Intro

Mailbag

  • @KevinHignett: NFL scouts creating fake Facebook profiles (of ladies) to get access to draftee's profiles.
  • After discussions with @susank we want to make a clarification to last weeks story about social media requiring more transparency in management.  Mzinga did actually blog, tweet and publicly discuss their layoffs. A lot of our comments were meant to be more general marketing observations, and not specific to
    the situation at Mzinga.
  • From HubSpot's very own West Coast correspondant, Dan Tyre: NYC church using Twitter to perform the Passion of Christ

Karen and Kyle:

Thanks dudes for the shout out. Do y'all do guest appearances? I'm no MC Hammer, but I can call in or use UStream or Google Video. Whatever. Maybe just submit an email marketing rap ala @repcor

Your call. I'm dead serious. We can talk email marketing. Let's do this.

Thank you for elaborating on the importance of personal branding. Becoming visible through the appropriate channels is crucial. It is key to understand the external perception of a person or organization and be sure that it matches with internal characteristics...you hit the nail on the head and conveyed concepts in an easy to digest manner. Thanks again! Rebecca
