Top 100 Marketing Blogs [HubSpot Hot 100]

.

Today, HubSpot is unveiling a new listing of the top internet marketing blogs, known as the HubSpot Hot 100. This list dynamically ranks marketing blogs according to several key metrics, including traffic, engagement, and blog grade. Some of the ranking is determined from data from third-party sources like PostRank and Compete. Blog Grade is the score generated by HubSpot's free Blog Grader tool.

Hopefully the HubSpot Hot 100 list will make it easier for marketers to discover new blogs to build their online marketing expertise. You can check out the full list here.

Build Your Own HubSpot Hot 100 List!

Want to make a list of blogs in your industry, like we did with the HubSpot Hot 100? Thanks to the groups feature in HubSpot's free tool, Blog Grader, you can create list for your industry too!

hot 100 toolSignup for a free account and then you can start start building your list. Simply name your list, choose some display options, and then start adding URLs of the blogs in your industry. You can add as many or as few as you want, maybe making a "top 10" or "top 25" depending on the size of your industry. The tool sorts the list automatically, using data that's updated daily so that your list is always accurate.

When you're done adding blogs, click "submit" and the tool will start collecting information on all of the sites in your list. When it's done, it will give you some code that you can copy and paste onto your website in order to embed the list there.

You'll want to embed the list on its own page and provide a little context for it. Then you could announce the new list on your blog and notify the sites that are on your list so that they can track their progress.

It is a simple way to build authority for your brand. Make yours today!

Thanks for the great post/listing. I notice you list doshdosh as #26. He was a favorite of mine for years and then seemed to disappear. I noticed just now nothing comes up under his URL. Wondered if anyone can shed light on this and how he got so highly ranked with any site??

Unfortunately the grader seems to be severely flawed which makes the entire ratings process and these lists meaningless.

The main problem is that Grader only analyzes the one page; the home page or the feed.

This is hugely problematic for several reasons.

Firstly it's not analyzing all the articles on a blog so there's no way it can do the blog length analysis it claims it does.

Secondly, everyone's blogs and feed settings vary: Some put the whole article on the home page and in the feeds, while others just put snippets. So again it is impossible for Grader to compare and rate any of these blogs accurately.

And on top of that there's no way it can accurately count the number of tweets and Likes as it simply doesn't count anything past the first page.

Grader will be a great product when it works properly, but at the moment it's rather meaningless.

Sorry to be so down on Grader but I was very disappointed when I figured out what it wasn't doing.

I used the Grader to compile my personal list of Top 20 Social Media Blogs. These are blogs I subscribe to and read regularly. I set the list to sort by Traffic. I realize it's not a perfect list, but I can watch how these blogs stack up against each other.

Thanks HubSpot for making the tool available.
