Think about the last time you failed. That time when you really, spectacularly, royally botched whatever it was you were trying to do.

Now, try to recall the first thought that came to your mind after your failure became apparent. Did you think "Oh geez, I might as well just give up"? Or was your inner dialogue closer to "Well, that didn't go as planned, but at least I learned something"?

While failure is without a doubt disappointing, the way you react to it can determine whether you'll be successful in the end. Learning from setbacks can make you stronger, and prepare you to formulate innovative new ways of thinking about tricky problems. So instead of thinking as failure as the end, try framing it as feedback, and keep going.
