One of the most controversial topics in lead generation and online marketing in general is the best source of traffic for generating leads.
I analyzed over 2.2 million leads generated by our customers (not by us), and found the average conversion rates for the most common traffic sources.
I found somewhat unsurprisingly that paid traffic and email marketing tended to have the highest conversion rates. What did come as some surprise though, was that social media performed better than both organic SEO traffic and direct navigation.
