October has come and gone, and with it we saw colder temperatures, changing leaves, a very spooky halloween, and most importantly -- new product launches.
Here’s what’s new in HubSpot this month.
What’s new in Marketing Hub?
Send smarter emails by filtering out bouncing contacts.
Knowing which email contacts are bouncing is important to keeping your portal clean, reporting on contacts, and more. Now, within “more tools” in Email you can create a new list, or add hard-bounced contacts to an existing list making it easy to keep track of how your email campaigns are performing and the contacts you are reaching.

Manage offline conversions without data loss.
Have you ever had a contact submit a form multiple times and overwrite someone’s contact record details? If so, you know how frustrating it can be. Historical contact data is lost, and the manual process of updating one contact record after another is long and tedious. Today within forms, you can enable a setting that will create a new contact whenever the form is submitted with an email address that doesn’t match anyone in your database. No more overwriting contact data.

What’s New in Sales Hub?
Take control of your product library with folder organization & one-off product creation.
Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise customers have always had the ability to build and manage a library of products within HubSpot. Reps can easily tie those products back to deals so that you can keep track of the actual products and services that you’re selling. But if you have a large catalog of products, organization quickly becomes a problem. This is why we’ve added the ability to create folders within the product library, so companies with a larger catalogue of products can better organize and manage all of their products within HubSpot.
Building out a product library is a great way to maintain consistency and transparency into what you’re selling. But sometimes there are special situations where a product or service is offered in a more unique, one-off scenario. To help you manage these one-off deals, you can now add products to Deals and Quotes without using the product library. This is perfect for folks who want to add a product or service to a quote without having to clutter up their product library.
Simply click the “Add a product” button to fill out a quick product detail form. Products added this way will appear as a line item on quotes -- but won’t be saved to your product library.

What’s New in HubSpot CRM?
Customize your team's properties.
The more you can customize the property experience for your team, the better you can streamline your process as you grow. With this in mind, we’ve made two updates to the properties experience within HubSpot to enable your team to better track the engagements that they’re having with customers. First, we’ve revamped the properties home screen within settings, making it easier to find properties across all object types and create properties. There are also nice wins like the ability to sort your field options when creating a multi-select property.
You can also now customize the left-hand sidebar of your HubSpot records. By default, this sidebar shows the “about” card. As an admin, you can now add new sections to the left sidebars for each object type, and edit the properties in any of the sections. If you’re an Enterprise customer, you can customize the entire sidebar by team -- so the information that your sales team sees is different than what your services team sees on each individual record for example.

Increase your account’s security with two-factor authentication
With two-factor authentication, you can add an extra layer of security on top of your username and password when logging into HubSpot by requiring verification through a second system, like an SMS message or an authenticator app. With this month’s update, you can go beyond just enabling it within your portal, you can require it for all users. If you’re an admin, simply toggle the option to require two-factor authentication on within your ‘Account defaults.’
