It's easy to forget what Thanksgiving is all about when you lock your eyes on glistening turkey, delicious stuffing, and freshly-baked pumpkin pie. But after dinner, when we're sitting amongst our closest family and friends, we tend to get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
No, it isn't a food coma, it's gratitude.
Thanksgiving is a time to press pause on our busy lives and reflect on what we're thankful for. While we should stop and appreciate what we're thankful for every day, we get caught up with unread emails, back-to-back meetings, lunch with friends, and putting our gym memberships to work. In the spirit of giving, we wanted to share some ideas on how you as a marketer can juggle your busy job and make the best use of your time every single day.
Who knows what it takes to be the best marketer you can be better than the marketing experts themselves? We asked a dozen marketing influencers what tools and apps they're thankful for, and that make their days easier. Their responses offer great insight on some ways to organize, navigate, and stay on top of what's going on in your industry, in your network, in your head, and in your inbox. Guy Kawasaki even provided an awesome list of tools and gadgets he loves for us to try out including Fantastical, Buffer, and TripIt. (You can see all of his recommendations in this post.)
So from Evernote to great coworkers, here are all of the things our marketing friends are grateful for in their daily lives.
We got a lot of other great responses from our marketing friends, but now, we'd rather hear from you. What has made your life easier as a marketer? What has made you better at your job? Leave a note in the comments so we can all come back to work on Monday with a great tip to get our engines back in gear.
