We all want to get the maximum amount of work done in the shortest amount of time. Unfortunately, sometimes the things we do in the name of productivity actually make us less productive.
For example, how often do you check your email? If you're like the rest of us, probably a few times a day minimum (and a few times an hour maximum). On the surface, it seems to make sense. The more you check email, the quicker you can get back to people. And the faster you respond, the more productive you are, right?
Wrong. According to a Microsoft study, we lose up to 25 minutes of productivity each time we stop by our inboxes. Yikes.
And that's not the only way we're getting in our own way. Check out Business Insider's infographic below to discover 11 other bad habits that squash productivity.
