Hey Maggie!

I love this post and actually signed up for the webinar. I run a website for BU that helps students find events in the community. Lately, to gain recognition, we've approached different clubs and offered to promote their events with our blog and twitter, which has been a very successful strategy to get the word out about our website.

Hopefully we can integrate more tactics like QR code and reminder emails to our event promotion tactics.

Thanks,
Eric Hsiao

I find that most organizations fial to set deadlines for many of their tasks, resulting in a flurry of activity a weeks or so before an event versus having timed releases. After an event many groups just drop out "of site" because they did not plan/staff for communication after an event.

ps> I found it difficult to read tsome of the text on the charts.

Where's the link to the webinar you mention at the end? Why isn't that image hyperlinked?

Great format for all the moving parts! I would add an event confirmation for all your attendees, as well as pre-preparation of any give-aways/gifts/branded merchandise. If you're putting together an event for a client, scouting for and securing the right venue is very important. Also, try to gather as much info as possible from attendees during the event (in a fun format...such as video testimonials, etc.).

For a number of years I taught high school students how to do event planning. Wish I had this infographic back then. It is superb.
