I'd also be interested in Marketing that delivers results for businesses.
I'm interested in marketing that generates customers and results defined by revenue.
I wouldn't mind if people hated my marketing material and it brought in lots and lots of revenue.
Laura Fitton 10:03 AM on February 13, 2013
Thanks for the comment Jon, we SO agree! Which is why we're sounding the gong so loudly that lovable marketing is a MUST.
Hated marketing is no longer going to bring in lots and lots of revenue, and now is the time to avoid squandering your business opportunities by remaining in that trap.
Warmly,
Laura

"The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread." said Mother Teresa. And she "sold" to starving people. The same applies to customers.

Sam Melnick and David Carpenter are very like-minded... or one's a plagiarist... or someone cut and paste the wrong text! ;o)

After the recent Super Bowl ads & the hastag #NotBuyingIt to call out sexist ads - I'd say create an advertising strategy that doesn't alienate your audience.

Hubspot you are an awsome team of people that actually do create marketing we love all the time. I've been a fan reader of your blog for over 2 years now and i say this, in the amount of time i've spended on your blog posts every day. You do something you love and you pass this to everyone related to you. This post is very inspirational and will certainly help in a "state of mind" the most of us, being in the first line of marketing every single day!

This is great stuff. One huge challenge for me is the pervasiveness of ad blockers in browsers. Even the best ad in the world with an awe-inspiring call to action doesn't do much if it's blocked. :(
