Barker DZP was founded in 2003 around a new business model of re-integrated marketing. CEO John Barker, a former EVP at Grey Worldwide, had grown increasingly frustrated at the inability of large firms to generate multi-platform campaigns.
From its first day, Barker DZP offered traditional, interactive, brand identity, collateral and video content production all under one roof. They have a focus on big ideas that moves brands forward. Early clients included Atkins Nutritionals, Procter & Gamble and Bloomberg L.P. On the basis of the new business model and its rapid success, Entrepreneur Magazine selected Barker DZP as one of the Hot 100 new small businesses in America.
Today, Barker DZP continues its record of strong growth around durable client relationships and new business wins against larger competition. The success is reflected in the numbers. Growing 61 percent from 2009 to 2012, Barker DZP is now building out new headquarters in southern Manhattan and is doubling its size in a new penthouse duplex near the New York Stock Exchange.
