HUGS, customersIt's that time of year again -- all the top marketing professionals are gathering in Boston for a week of marketing events focusing on marketing, technology and media called #FutureM. A part of this tremendous event, HubSpot is proud to host the second annual HubSpot User Group Summit (HUGS) on September 16 at the Sheraton Boston following the annual Inbound Marketing Summit (IMS) on September 14-15.  But after you register, there are a few things you should know before making the trip to Boston.

Seriously Awesome Hotel Rates (for Boston)

Boston is a great city to explore. And as HUGS and IMS attendees, you have access to a discounted rate right at the Sheraton Boston.  You can enjoy Boston to its fullest since you'll be walking distance to multiple forms of public transportation and the best dining and shopping in town, not to mention Fenway Park.  These rooms are limited in number, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.

Get up to date on your reading list

Need a book to read?  Many of the speakers at IMS are renowned authors.  Check out their books prior to the conference, including Enchantment by Guy KawasakiThe Social Media Marketing Book by Dan Zarrella, The Facebook Era by Clara ShihThe Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich, and Different by Youngme Moon.

Learn about Boston's History

You can read about Boston in the history books, but it is so much better to see and explore it firsthand.  You can take a walk on the Freedom Trail for free, and take an unforgettable tour to some of the greatest historical landmarks in the city.  Or you can visit one of Boston's museums, like the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, or the Museum of Science.

Other Boston Activities

There's even more to see and do in Boston.  Take a Duck Tour.  Go to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park.  Take a boat cruise on Boston Harbor.  Visit one of the Boston Harbor Islands.  Take a tour of the Sam Adams Brewery.  Looking for fine dining?  Visit the North End for Italian food, Newbury Street restaurants, or find fresh seafood delights around the city.  The choices are endless.

Bring Your Questions & Networking Calendar

HubSpot consultants will be on hand to give you one-on-one consulting and answer any questions you may have about inbound marketing.  Whether you have questions on the HubSpot product or on more general topics of inbound marketing, you should not walk away with them unanswered.  Follow your Inbound Marketing Consultant or another favorite HubSpotter on Twitter, and ask them if you can meet during or after the event.  Better yet, schedule a meeting or dinner with them.  Being prepared before the event will help you prevent information overload.
