hubspot customer is using their purchased contentThis is a guest blog article written by Tom Schwab of Goodbye Crutches. I asked Tom to share his experience with purchasing blog content from Zerys, an app that can be found in HubSpot App Marketplace.

If you’re on one foot recovering from surgery of injury, I know the options to crutches: the specs, the brands, and the question you need to ask.  But, knowing and communicating are very different things.  As a recent user of HubSpot I’ve realized I need to blog.  While I have many subjects and topics to share, I lack both the time and passion to write.

On our first consulting call with Sam Mallikarjunan, he suggested trying Zerys to generate blog content.   Within 24 hours of posting two writing jobs I realized what a powerful tool this could become.  Both projects were simple, 250 word blog posts that entailed telling a customer story.

First Purchased Blog Article

The first blog article was solid.  The writer was much like me with a similar background and even wrote in a similar style. We even attended the same college. The writer, Mitch, saved me time. I just shared bullet points and I got back content that needed minimal editing.

Second Purchased Blog Article

The second blog article was just as solid, yet it brought a new prospective to one of our key demographic markets.  The author understood and spoke to women about how a Knee Scooter is a great alternative to crutches.  Beverly’s vivid description of “squirming children in car seats” spoke to a key demographic in a voice that they could relate to.

As I move forward I plan to use Zerys for content creation by building a team of excellent writers with diverse backgrounds that mirror those of our key demographics.  This way I can provide the writers with bullet points of information and they can add the voice that speaks to our customers and drives them to action. It is going to be a lifesaver for our blog writing and inbound marketing.
