We are thrilled to announce that the dynamic Marcus Sheridan will be our featured guest during the July #InboundLearning Webinars. Marcus is a force of nature and a long-time HubSpot customer who is known for his electrifying presentations and his passion for inbound sales. Marcus recently gave a TEDx talk, The Honest Economy, that will give you an idea of the power of one of his presentations.

Marcus and I (Mark Kilens) will be doing two webinars in July that are sure to satisfy your yearning to soak up all of the inbound learning you can this summer. The first webinar, scheduled for July 16, will be about Marcus’s approach to creating content, which he calls The Honest Economy.

Here’s an excerpt from his recent blog article, in which Marcus explains the Honest Economy:

The examples of CarMax, McDonalds, and River Pools are just a small microcosm of what is a major shift happening in the world of business and marketing today. Instead of looking to keep business secrets in a smoky, dark back-room with a bunch of fat guys in a black suit, the trend we’re now seeing is a literal renaissance of doing business in an honest and transparent way that’s truly built to last.

Although it may sound cliché or silly to some, I’m calling this “The Honest Economy,” and I earnestly believe, because of the proliferation of the internet and its ability to help outliers stand out, this is the beginning of a trend that will dramatically impact the way marketing and business are done around the world as we know it.

The second webinar, scheduled for July 23, will be about how to use content during the sales process. Marcus calls this approach Assignment Selling.

Here’s an excerpt from his recent blog article on the topic of Assignment Selling:

Because of this lack of responsibility, I found myself spending too much time teaching prospects on sales calls and not enough time selling. And regardless of what anyone in the world might say, selling, and not teaching, is what ultimately pays the bills.

Upon realizing the error of my ways, I became much bolder with clients. In fact, I started giving them ‘homework’ before I’d come out to their house.

Yes, that’s right, I did just say homework.

I really hope you can join Marcus and me for two webinars that will knock your socks off. You could think of it as the HubSpot Academy’s Summer Blockbuster. :-)

Happy #HubSpotting
