Open, an agency in Toronto, just put out this video called "The Marketers Anthem," which basically takes the mickey out of what marketers do for a living, sending up the ridiculous lingo and jargon that infects our business -- stuff like ROI, KPI, call to action, and so on.
The video sends up all the crazy stuff that marketers do, like adding "-vertising" to the end of words, producing ads for juice that make people cry, inventing cookies that we can be friends with. "Oh, God, we're friends with a cookie!"
If you work in marketing, some of this stuff might cut a little too close to home. What's more, you'll realize that, nutty as this video might be, it still only scratched the surface.
