Content is the new spam, irreverence may be good for you, and sales experts rate social media apps really differently than marketing experts do. Read on to check out what else we learned talking to INBOUND 2014 speaker Trish Bertuzzi.

Trish Bertuzzi's research and ideas have been featured on Inc.com and dozens of top sales and marketing websites, earning her numerous top 25 "most influential" designations in sales and social selling.

Trish is President and Chief Strategist of The Bridge Group, where her work helps sales and marketing leaders make smart decisions on implementation, strategy, performance improvement, technology, metrics and measurement. To do that well she depends on Twitter, numerous blogs and a lineup of social tools that may surprise you.

What is your #1 source for staying on top of your world?

Twitter… I am a big fan of the 140 character trailer. Sell me the sizzle and I will probably go read whatever you are promoting. I like to keep an eye on what industry influencers are interested in and there is no better way to do that than twitter.

Have to add this though… if you only talk about you, I don’t read you. If you always use the same #hashtag I assume you are a one trick pony and I don’t read you. And, if I figure out you are part of a Retweet “club” I don’t read you.

Thanks, I feel better now.

When and what do you read online?

I eat at my desk 3 times a day (I know that is so bad right?) and that is when I read. I always check Hootsuite to see what is up and I also check my LinkedIn updates. Okay, my guilty pleasure, I check TMZ at least once a day. I do love me some Hollywood trash talk.

What is your favorite place on the web?

Quora has become my favorite weekend hangout. I go there for information on entrepreneurial questions or when I need information on SaaS. It is definitely a go-to resource for information, and when I have asked questions I have received great answers. But now I receive these weekly digests of what is trending and I save them for the weekend to read. Some of the questions are so interesting and the people that respond are mind blowing. Definitely a fave!

Which people or feeds or blogs do you follow?

Who is someone undiscovered that we should be reading?

The Irreverant Sales Girl

What is your biggest pet peeve about content?

It is the new spam and is starting to give me headache. Too much of anything is never a good thing!

What is the most memorable piece of content of all time?

I LOVE our periodic table of inside sales metrics

How would you rank your favorite social apps?
