I am a Hub Spot customer that blogs. I use the analytics tool and it is clear to me when I blog traffic to my web site goes up. When I don’t blog traffic drops. When I blog consistently traffic increases consistently. What is really interesting is both repeat also new visitors’ com to my web site. Have you noticed that as well?
Not surprising information considering what most major search engines are grading as relevant useful content. Committing to your brand and reaching out to share your expertise online makes you more accessible to your audiences (today roughly 80% of customers are experiencing brands for the first time in a search box) and serves to better position your organization as the expert at what you do.
Now that's some good info that will help out in the long run. Thank you!
Correlation or causation? Those who blog for business are usually more devoted to making a good, well-optimized web site and committed to on line marketing as a form of reaching their customer. We have seen our traffic rise but I am not sure how much is the blogging and how much is updating our web site.
I agree with Kate Putnam. It's hard to determine a causal relationship. Those who blog probably tend to do other things that bring in more leads.
But that's not saying that blogging doesn't hurt. It's probably a factor among many that helps generate leads.
in this site all about softwares.
I would have to agree with this article, my clients who have integrated not only blogging but also other Social Media elements have seen results!!
businesses that blog witness their monthly leads rise by 126% more than those who don't.
wow, that's incredible!
i think strong keywords is the most important factor.
We invited our viewers to send us video questions, iReports for you.
great article good read thanks
You need to get visitors to blog.TO do that, you have to do some link building work to bring traffic.SEE?
great post. i've learned a lot from this. thanks a lot for sharing.
Very informative and knowledgeable post! Thank You!
@Kate and Chris: you guys are right in the sense that those who blog also tend to devote time on other aspects of their company's online presence. Causation is difficult to determine especially when we don't have control groups or the ability to isolate one variable in determining the relationship between other variables, so correlation is perhaps the most accurate term here.
Thanks for your thoughtful feedback,

@Abercrombie and fitch uk: while your logic makes sense, it is equally possible that blogging will bring you more visitors. You can always promote your blog to your e-mail/RSS subscribers to attract more visits, which may then form a self-perpetuating cycle.
Hope this helps,

@ed hardy UK: strong keywords are definitely important to website design and blog titles, among other aspects of your online brand presence.
Thanks,
