“Before starting any kind of project, you need to understand the many variables that affect it,” says Devia Pinzon. “Questions are important for determining the scope, resources needed, assessing risks (inside and outside the project) and informing primary and secondary stakeholders.”
David Carberry, Design Lead at HubSpot, also emphasizes the importance of internal conversations before diving into the recreation of the site. “Good communication between designers and developers is paramount to any successful redesign project. Before even a line of code is written, both parties should meet to understand the technical challenges the project entails.
