You're probably wondering why there's a 12-year-old Asian kid in front of you" Kiip Founder and CEO Brian Wong loves to joke. He's actually 22, and Kiip's potential impact on mobile usage and advertising is no joke at all. Starting with the insight that all videogames revolve around delivering a series of achievement moments, Kiip developed technology that lets advertisers celebrate and reward these moments, with fantastic results. Generalizing this concept, Kiip identified 500 million achievement moments a day across all different categories of apps.
Reward Everyday Moments
Serendipitous, appreciated rewards are incredibly compelling when offered at a moment the mobile user is having a satisfying interaction with their app. Whether you're completing a to-do list, logging a workout or bookmarking a recipe, Kiip provides a branded reward that satisfies the customer while promoting the advertiser, with over 17% of consumers engaging with the ad.
They can also deduct surprising insights from the data. A surge in gaming usage at an airport suggests flight delays, and indicates that a free airport lounge pass or a free coffee coupon can be offered to mobile users at that airport in real time.
Celebrated everywhere from Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in the World to Buzzfeed's 10 "kids" changing the tech world, Brian Wong and Kiip are destined to quickly become household names you haven't heard of yet.
