.

As we discussed in our post yesterday, Google+ is growing rapidly, and it seems that Google has opened up the invite flood gates to allow more people to join. But once you get invited and actually set up a Google+ account, then what? Beyond deciding if and in what ways you plan to use Google+, you still need to know the mechanics of the social network and how to actually do the tasks you want to do.

A new cheat sheet for Google+ is making its way around the web courtesy of Simon Laustsen. This handy guide uncovers some of the mechanics and shortcuts to help you successfully use Google+.

These are great tips. Thanks for sharing - especially since I am still trying to figure out Google+ and if it's something I need to invest time into.

Although I have a feeling that Google+ will be around for a while, we need to remember that not all things Google are a success. Google Wave comes to mind.

Thanks for the post!

I cannot find the "arrow" button to disable resharing of posts. Do you have to post/comment first, before you can do this?

So Simon wants us to send him a "massage?" Just needed an afternoon chuckle. Thanks for posting this. It's a great cheat sheet!

I really have not invested any time as of yet to look in to google+ but will certainly give it a perusal. Generally, I wait for a new social medium to find some footing, but the momentum really seems to have kicked off with google+ so it won't be long before I invest time in exploring it.

Thanks, helpful as I've just started dabbling a bit w G+. The Circle/Twitter following analogy is helpfu...but a follow-up question: if I add someone to a circle, they don't get content I share to that circle unless they have also added me? That would make sense but wasn't positve.

Sort of annoying that it is disconnected from Twitter and FB, and its functionality doesn't really replace anything that most of us are already comfortable doing on one or both of those services. There is no new buzz factor for me with this one. I simply feel I need to learn it and use it because it is Google and as such will likely be around and important.

I do like the idea of circles for having multiple easy layers of privatized sharing. This is catchy for me as with FB, I have loads of friends, a lot of whom I don't know but chose to connect with out of internet good will or common interests, and sharing their is an all or nothing proposition with your contacts unless you create private groups. I plan to try to use circles this way.

I just got my G+ invitation and to be frank I have been wandering like a kid in the maze :)

Your pointers should help me to navigate better.
