More and more businesses are jumping into social media as the ROI of Inbound Marketing continues to show that online tools like Twitter and Facebook are an effective - and inexpensive - way to reach potential buyers.
At HubSpot, we love how-to content that empowers marketers and business owners to harness the power of inbound marketing to grow their businesses. In that vein, we're releasing a new free ebook: How to Use Facebook for Business.
The ebook includes everything you need to know to get started using Facebook to reach and engage more potential buyers online.
Download the free Facebook for Business ebook.
Here are just a few of the tips included in the free ebook:
- Use Facebook's ad builder to find out how many of your prospects are already on Facebook by filtering on criteria like age or interests.
- If doing Facebook ads, choose the pay-per-click (PPC) billing option to get lots of brand impressions at a low cost, because the click through rates for Facebook ads are notoriously low.
- Use Friend Lists to customize your privacy settings for business and personal contacts.
- Add interesting and engaging content to your Business Page to maximize your exposure to your fans and their networks. Every time a user interacts with you, their activity will get published to their news feed, which is seen by all of their friends.
- Add free-form HTML applications to your Page for fully customized content, including special offers and links with SEO credit back to your website.
- Use Facebook Insights (Facebook's built-in analytics) to measure engagement on your Page, including comments, clicks, and page views.

Thanks for this handy little guide. The only thing to bear in mind to be that facebook urls are case sensitive, and some of the links in your e-book are capitalised and therefore don't (seem to) work from the PDF.
Thanks again!
;-)

Thank you hubspot for all the information and education you are doing. I have closely followed your blog. I do have 2 questions, though, that for some reason I have not been able to figure out:
1. How can I -FB business page- engage with your hubspot FB. I noticed that if I do write something my personal page comes up....
2. Through the new FB ad campaign we acquired several friends - but I can't access their information. If I add them as my friend will they show up in my personal FB or in my business FB page?
Any help is appreciated and again thanks so, so , so much.

@Susanna -
1.) Pages cannot post comments on other questions. Any interactions like that are really only available for individual profiles, which is why your comment showed up from your profile. You can associate a page with your page by marking it as a "favorite page". There is a box on the page that you manage that allows you to do this.
2.) Pages have fans, not friends, and pages can't "friend" someone - you have to encourage those people to become a fan on their own. As an admin of a page with fans, you can't see your fans' personal info (for privacy reasons). But you can see certain demographic data (% male/female, age, etc.) via your page's built-in analytics Facebook Insights (go to your page and click "View Insights").
@Jeffrey - Here's a link to a previously recorded webinar on How to Use Facebook for Business: http://www.hubspot.com/marketing-webinars/facebook-for-business-webinar-archive/
@Josie - The doc should be working now, so please try to download again and let me know if it doesn't work.

I have created a page for my business on facebook. I have one frustration, and haven't been able to solve it. I would like to be "notified" when there is action on my page. On my personal page, if someone makes any comment, I get a "notification" in that little box in the bottom right corner, with a red bubble, indicating the number of new activity. Why doesn't this also work for the business page??? Every day I am frantically scouring my business page to see if I have missed anything that anyone has said. This is very frustrating. Is there some setting I can change so I will be notified when someone writes on my business wall, comments on a photo or video, etc??? Thanks so much for the ebook. I find it very helpful, but still have this lingering question! Kristy
