As the Director of Organizational Development, Rich Schmick is responsible for designing training modules, employee development programs and process improvement initiatives at VML. He’s also involved in client projects which have a training or educational component whenever needed.
Rich joined VML as a Business Systems Analyst in 2007 after 15 years in training and instructional design roles at Gateway Computers, AT&T Wireless and State Street. He designed and implemented Gateway’s online education program which provided web based training programs for thousands of employees worldwide on the latest technological innovations, legal issues, and company policies. In his time at VML, Rich has worked with a diverse range of VML clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cartoon Network Europe, Colgate–Palmolive, Diageo, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Microsoft, SAP, Sperian, Sprint, Vanguard and Welch Allyn.
Rich is a graduate from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a member of Mensa.
Rich spends his time away from the office looking for opportunities to add more stamps to his passport and exploring local bike trails with his wife Debra.
