    However, I realized the cover letter wasn‘t just about experience but showing who I was and why I cared about the job. Here’s what I learned to include in a strong cover letter:

    1. Why you're interested in the job.

    Employers want to know why you care about the role. Discuss what excites you about customer service and why this job caught your eye.

    2. Your relevant experience.

    Even if you don‘t have years of experience, highlight any customer-facing roles you’ve had. This could include retail, volunteer work, or anything helping people.

    3. Specific skills you are most proud of.

    Focus on the most important skills in customer service, like communication, problem-solving, and patience. Ensure these skills are directly related to the job you're applying for.

    4. Achievements or recognitions you’ve gained throughout your life.

    If you‘ve received any awards or praise for your work, include that too. It shows that you’ve not only done the job but done it well.

    5. Your experience in teamwork and passion.

    Customer service often involves working with others, so mentioning how you collaborate with teammates can be a plus. Also, show your passion for customer service — hiring managers want someone who genuinely enjoys helping others.

    I pretty much spent my childhood in the chief seats at Cubs games, snacking on popcorn and cheering on the team with my grandfather.
