The Most "Liked" Types of Facebook Pages [Infographic]

.

When you create a page, Facebook allows you to specify the "type" of page. Some of the most common are pages about movies, TV shows, and books.

Using the half a million pages Facebook grader has data on, I found that not only are "interest" pages the most common type, on average they're also the most liked. They're so far above the average in fans that they dwarf every other type. See the chart below? The giant line on the left is interest pages.

interests

In the graph below I compared the most-liked pages to the average number of fans Facebook pages in our data set have (624). What you see there is those types that have more fans than the average. I had to remove interest pages so you could actually see the rest of the lines.

Great post I can't believe that photography is not even on the list, isn't Facebook mostly about photos,

I wonder if this means that Facebookers still read books. Or maybe 'Liking' them is enough.

Great information. This is helpful to share with clients and even set expectations for some of their Facebook campaigns.

It seems logical, since the movies, books, TV shows and the more popular items simply have broader appeal, therefor opportunity for a larger "like"ing audience.

Local food & beverage, restaurants, and sports teams make sense, since they would appeal to a smaller, regional or local audience.

The fashion and automotive are a bit of a surprise to me.

Thank you for putting this together!

What category would you consider HubSpot falls under in the chart? I guess it doesn't matter because no matter where classify you guys...You're killing it. Congrats!

Great information. I little disheartening that small b2b companies do not make the chart. Not a surprise at all, but a little disheartening.

Very good article. It will help us lay our card to our client if they want facebook campaigns. What we can do and what to expect from us. Thanks again.

I guess we'll have to be patient on Marketing as a "liked" topic. I like it, so that's good enough for me. Maybe HubSpot will help us drive it to the top of the list.

I agree with the graph. I have noticed that mostly people like movies, TV shows. But i thought the third list would be the celebrities.
