Joe Pulizzi

Joe Pulizzi is the founder of multiple ventures including The Tilt and CEX: Creator Economy Expo, and is regarded as the “Godfather of Content Marketing.” He first coined the term in 2001 and later founded the Content Marketing Institute and Content Marketing World. Joe is the bestselling author of Epic Content Marketing, Content Inc., Killing Marketing, The Will to Die, and several other books that have shaped modern content strategy. Through his work, Joe has championed a “content-first” business model, emphasizing audience building before monetization—an approach that has influenced marketers around the world. He also hosts two popular podcasts, This Old Marketing and Content Inc., and runs a nonprofit, The Orange Effect Foundation, supporting children with speech challenges. Joe’s accolades include the Content Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and his education includes a MAC in Communications from Penn State University and a BAC in Communications from Bowling Green State University.
