When was the last time you saw a cover letter packaged up as an online presentation? This presentation shows creative initiative and instantly separates the author from the crowd. If the message is the message, and a story needs to be told, then I'd go with Prezi - it shows the big picture with the small details, and as such doesn't have to be linear, or boring.

I appreciate the suggestions and I always think of the work "dramastic" as I work on future presentations. I have also seen too many bored, yawning faces in audiences (even at my own presentations). The same old slide show just doesn't do it in the digital age when people are used to dynamic images and ideas. Excellent suggestions.
