What is an AI marketing bot?

Unlike AI project management or graphic design tools, AI marketing bots are a bit more diverse, and thus difficult to categorize. They are like general-purpose chatbots, but designed specifically for marketing use-cases.

For instance, you can use AI marketing bots for creating images or generating first drafts for blogs. I’ve also seen marketers use AI bots for complex tasks like sentiment analysis on social media or aggregating product reviews. Based on these insights, they do nuanced competitor analysis or track campaign results for better ROI.

Why are AI marketing bots so popular right now?

AI marketing bots are popular because they simplify and automate routine tasks. They also enable 24/7, personalized customer support, boosting consumer/client satisfaction. And more often than not, these bots are more budget-friendly compared to their human counterparts.

Companies save 20–30% in marketing costs (anywhere between $80–$170 million) using AI tools in 2025, according to Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Processes that used to take up to two months now take only a day thanks to AI-powered systems with minimal human supervision.

Similarly, HubSpot’s 2025 AI Trends for Marketers showed how 65% marketers became more productive using AI tools, while 58% of them saved hours in cross-team interactions.

However, there’s still a lack of good all-round marketing bots. Some excel in content creation, while others in designs. I personally have to juggle between 8-10 different bots for various professional and personal needs. Let’s look at my favorite ones and how I use them as part of my AI stack.

    9 Best AI Marketing Bots

There are thousands of AI tools out there, with different use cases. To keep things organized and easier to follow, I organized my list into five broad categories based on a tool’s primary offering: Content Generators, Presentation and Images, Video, Sales and Leads, and Chatbots.

    Content Generators

As a social media marketer, content creation is about 80% of my workflow. I typically use ChatGPT and Claude for most of my creative work. However, sometimes, I need more custom-built tools that provide granular control over tonality, style, keyword optimization, and so on.

    1. Koala AI

ai marketing bots: koala ai for content generation

Koala uses GPT-5 and Claude-4 to create quality SEO-optimized content. You basically get the best of both AI models in a single interface.

Koala also offers a chatbot, text and image generator, link analyzer, and a lead magnet builder. Quite a lot, I know! For this test, I used the KoalaWriter, with GPT-4.1 Mini, because it’s free to try for everyone.

    Test Results

You can use Koala to customize your content in multiple ways. I selected “Blog Post” with length as “Shorter,” because I wanted to create a short write-up.

Depending on your needs, you can choose other options: listicle, rewrite blog posts, convert YouTube videos to blog posts, and write Amazon product reviews.

koalawriter ui for text generation, gpt-4.1 mini model on koala

Besides the target keyword and tonality, Koala also lets you specify the “point of view” (1st, 2nd, or 3rd person) and has several language options as well. With all these selected, here’s the first draft I got.

first draft output by koalawriter, ai generated text by koalawriter

While it clearly needs some editing, I think it was pretty decent for a start. I particularly liked the way it keeps sentences short, concise, and on point with the guidelines.

    What I like:

    • Fast content generation.
    • Multiple integrated tools.
    • First 5,000 words are free.

    What can be improved:

    • The “Shorter” generation option is hit-and-miss at times.
    • User experience could be a bit better, with advanced editing options.

Pricing: Free tier available. Lots of options for paid plans with six tiers, ranging between $9-$2,000 monthly or $84-$19,200 yearly.

    What experts say:

Lucas Carval, growth specialist at Mention, says he uses Koala AI to help speed up his workflow.

Carval said, “With custom instructions and data from the web, I can make a base for the topic I’m covering, which I’ll then enhance with my own perspective, original data, and case studies. [Then I use] SurferSEO to adjust the number of words, headings, images, and NLP keywords based on the article’s ranking in the top 5 for the keyword I’m targeting.”

    2. Jasper

    ai marketing bots: jasper

Jasper is great if you want to create a unified brand and automate your entire marketing funnel. Some of the tools in Jasper’s suite include Agents, AI Studio, App Library, and APIs.

In the past, I’ve used Jasper’s pre-built apps for product descriptions, landing pages, meta titles, and short video scripts. But I focused on the Marketing AI Editor, powered by Jasper IQ, for this test.

    Test Results

Jasper offers various templates that speed up the creation process. I usually start with these and tweak them to match the specific target audience, language, and other relevant factors.

Another trick I use with Jasper is uploading sources and branded references for style, tonality, and the overall approach. I skipped this part for the test, while using the other settings to get an email draft for a social media campaign.

jasper’s ai generated image, social media campaign using ai

Those em-dashes need to go. Apart from that, I liked the personalized, humane tone Jasper pulled off. The text was 80% there, even without additional references.

    What I like:

    • 100+ marketing-specific apps.
    • The in-built “AI context layer” called Jasper IQ helps a lot with consistent outputs.

    What can be improved:

    • Free trial options.

Pricing: No free plans. Monthly paid plans start from $69, with a 10% discount on annual plans.

    What experts say:

Mike Vannelli, creative director of Envy Creative, told me, “Jasper excels at generating engaging copy that resonates with our audience. It’s like having a creative partner who’s always ready with fresh ideas. Jasper shines in helping us maintain a consistent brand voice across multiple platforms while saving us hours on content creation.”

    Presentation and Images

According to a study by HubSpot, over 53% of marketers use AI to generate images in 2025. I’m one of them. Apart from images to supplement my content, I use it to create AI presentations for clients.

For example, I started ghostwriting for a new founder on their social media profile. During the onboarding process, I shared everything from the initial proposal to content guidelines as AI-generated presentations.

    3. Beautiful.ai

    ai marketing bots: beautiful ai

Beautiful.ai has 60+ templates for students, enterprises, and of course, marketers. And if there’s one thing I like about this tool more than its templates, it’s the control it offers over the type of presentations: dashboards, radial bars, photo grids, and so on.

It also works with Slack, Microsoft Powerpoint, Salesforce, and Monday, which I think is a great feature. The Slack integration is particularly appealing to me, because that’s another tool I use every day.

    Test Results

To keep things simple, I tested Beautiful.ai with a prompt to create a single slide. Here’s the result:

slide prepared by beautiful.ai, ai marketing generated slides

While the numbers were random, I liked the overall layout and alignment. It’s a great starting point, especially for simple presentations.

    What I like:

    • Lots of pre-designed templates, from basic to advanced slides like SWOT analysis.
    • Extensive integrations with top productivity and project management tools.

    What can be improved:

    • More editorial freedom and customizability.
    • Free tier or card-free trials.

Pricing: No free tier. Pro plans start at $12/month, with custom pricing for enterprises.

    What experts say:

Renee Miller, founder of The Miller Group, uses Beautiful.ai regularly. She told me, “Beautiful.ai is a nice tool for creating presentations, and it’s pretty intuitive, so my whole team can use it — even the Luddites! Although it does have some limitations, as do most AI marketing tools at this time, especially ChatGPT.”

      4. Canva Magic Studio

ai marketing bots: canva magic studio

Canva is one of my favorite AI-powered design tools. I use it for everything from graphic design for our clients to generating quick logos for my side projects. Canva also has a “Presentation” section in its custom sizing and template library, which is what I decided to test for this piece.

      Test Results

Greeted with the familiar Magic Studio interface, I gave Canva the same prompt as Beautiful.ai — “Create a presentation comparing the best AI marketing tool features for content writing.

Canva came up with four options.

four outputs from canva for my marketing use-case prompt

The designs looked sophisticated at first glance, but after zooming in, I realized they weren’t very usable. Here’s an enlarged version of one of the options:

zoomed in view of one the presentation designs provided by canva

The design elements are great, but as usual with Canva, the text is all over the place. And because there’s no option to edit them, the visuals are sadly unusable. You can try different variations of the prompt or use follow up prompts to fix the issue. But it’s mostly hit-and-miss, and doesn’t really work.

      What I like:

      • Canva’s simple, yet integrated interface.
      • Lots of templates, custom sizes, and pre-made graphics.

      What can be improved:

      • Granular editing options for generated images.

Pricing: Free tier available, with paid plans starting from $5.81 monthly.

      What experts say:

Tom Jauncey, CEO of Nautilus Marketing, told me, “Canva is wonderful for producing professional-looking graphics quickly without needing to actually study design. It also helps us create professional graphics fast.”

      Video

Over 56% of marketers use AI for short-form videos, and 42% of them do it for longer ones, according to HubSpot’s 2025 Social Media Trends. I typically use Sora for my video needs because of its great visual realism and granular control over aspect ratio, etc. But I wanted to see what else was out there, so I tested a few alternatives for this piece.

      5. Munch

      ai marketing bots: munch

Munch is great for repurposing videos, generating captions, and extracting snippets. For the test, I created subtitles for a video and shortened the clip into an Instagram Reel or YouTube Shorts.

      Test Results

To start, I had to upload a public video link. You can also upload a file (max duration: 4 hours).

Then I selected the subtitle font, specified the output video’s length, described its type (some options: vlog, gaming, explainer, lecture, music video, etc.).

the munch ui, showing different options that you can customize

The quality of the output was good, but not great. I think tools like Sora still do a better job in terms of video quality, at least.

      What I like:

      • The integrated project dashboard shows KPIs for easy performance monitoring.
      • All the existing projects are under the “My Projects” section for discoverability.
      • It comes with built-in integrations with YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

      What can be improved:

      • The free trial version should be available for all users to try it out.
      • More features, like subtitle fonts and customizable clip lengths, will enhance the user experience.

Pricing: No free plans. Three tiers of paid plans starting at $49/month.

      What experts say:

Kelsey Stewart, owner of Eleven89 Marketing and Design, uses Munch regularly. She told me, “I use Munch because it helps me with two purposes: It creates short-form videos from one long-form video, and generates subtitles for those videos automatically.”

      6. Submagic

      ai marketing bots: submagic

Like Munch, Submagic also specializes in AI video editing and things like generating short clips or subtitles. But because I already tested those features, I wanted to try something else. I landed on “fixing eye contact” and “zoom-in/zoom-out.”

submagic ui, showing the different things you can do on the platform

      Test Results

The eye contact feature makes someone look at the camera even if in the original video the person looks elsewhere. The process was simple: upload a video, fix eyes, and download it.

Zoom-in/zoom-out was also interesting. It offers various zooming methods like expo, fast, smooth, linear, and crash to improve a video’s appeal. It did a good job in generating zoom effects without involving complex editing.

      What I like:

      • The dashboard provides an overview of projects, but lacks KPI details.
      • Allows integrations with Google, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and the brand kit helps with consistent tonality.

      What can be better:

      • A more metric-heavy dashboard.
      • Free trial without providing card details.

Pricing: No free plans. Paid plans start at $19 monthly, with 41% discount on annual plans.

      What experts say:

Cassie Clark, a B2B marketer and writer at HubSpot, said: “I personally use Submagic on a nearly weekly basis. I’ve shied away from creating video content because video editing is just not my skill set. They mean it when Submagic says you can fully edit a video with AI in two minutes or less. Submagic saves me so much time, and my videos look professionally edited, complete with captions. Spoiler: They’re not.”

      Sales and Leads

If there’s one thing I hate more than crunching numbers on Excel, it’s working on sales and BD. Constant cold outreach, follow-ups, lead nurturing, more follow-ups, it’s never ending!

But again, you simply can’t avoid these things when you’re a freelancer, so anything that even remotely makes it less tedious is a lifesaver. Here are my top two bots that help with this process.

      7. HubSpot Breeze

      ai marketing bots: hubspot breeze

Most people know Breeze, HubSpot’s AI suite, as a one-stop platform for content creation using CRM data. But what they don’t know is how potent AI-powered Breeze agents can be when it comes to generating leads and closing deals.

It serves as a Customer Agent to respond to customer requests and a Prospecting Agent to conduct research, identify buying signals, and email outreach.

Breeze also helps write blogs, remix content across different channels, create websites, and enhance conversation intelligence.

      Test Results

I had earlier tested Breeze’s chatbot feature through its “product demo” page. But this tool is much more than that, especially from a sales tracking and lead generation PoV. So, I decided to test it for my email marketing campaigns.

hubspot breeze’s ui showing a list of leads

Frankly, I wasn’t expecting such an extensive list of leads, complete with details like company name, city, country, and lots of other details. I can easily use this granular data to segment my customer data smarter and personalize outreach at scale.

      What I like:

      • Breeze’s CRM integration helps throughout the complete customer journey since it integrates product features, sales pipeline, emails, and buyer intent.
      • Specially curated agents for each use case rather than a one-size-fits-all solution.

      What can be improved:

      • The free version has very few features.

Pricing: Paid plans start at $15/month billed annually, going up to $4,700/month.

      What experts say:

Yevhenii Tymoshenko, Skylum‘s chief marketing officer, told me, “At Skylum, HubSpot has helped our marketing and sales tremendously. With it, we can track customer interactions, automate emails, and manage leads — all in one place.”

“The analytics show us what’s working, and we can improve our strategies. Overall, HubSpot helps us stay in touch with our customers and grow our business,” he added.

        8. Seamless AI

        ai marketing bots: seamless ai

I had heard about Seamless from some of my friends who’ve been in sales for over a decade. They mentioned that it’s great for real-time lead research, especially with their Prospector tool. So, I decided to test it out.

While I haven’t used Seamless extensively in my day-to-day work so far, it does seem very powerful. Especially for making well-informed sales decisions, creating nuanced pitches, and achieving more targeted outreach that have better ROI overall.

        Test Results

After logging in with Google or business credentials, you can select a bunch of filters to get the leads you’re looking for.

seamless ai’s ui, list of leads with filters generated by ai

I loved how the tool provides granular control with filters, which is great for getting very specific leads for targeted campaigns.

        What I like:

        • Integration with major platforms like HubSpot for CRM and Marketing, which helps with directly exporting the existing tech stack in a single click.
        • As a lead generation platform, it’s focused on one thing and does it well instead of offering multiple sub-standard services.

        What can be improved:

        • Most of the really useful features like Autopilot or Job Changes are paywalled. Some trial or limited access would be nice.

Pricing: Free tier has 50 credits per user. Daily and customized credits are available on Pro and Enterprise plans, but you need to contact their sales team for these.

        Chatbots

Chatbots are everywhere. Social media DMs, customer service bots, content generation, and more. I’ve tested most of the major ones for marketing, and if I had to recommend just one, Tidio is it.

        9. Tidio

        ai marketing bots: tidio

Tidio is quite popular in B2B circles, with a resolution rate of over 67%. That’s huge, considering how chatbots can be pretty unruly and off-the-rails at times. Most companies use it for answering questions based on their support content. If the chatbot wasn’t able to answer the question, it would reroute to a human agent.

        Test Results

To test out Tidio, I had to fill in details about the department I work in (marketing, customer support, business owner, IT), set a goal (increase sales, offer live support, generate leads, etc.), and average customer conversations per month. This detailed questionnaire helps Tidio customize its tools per user requirements.

questionnaire showing tidio’s extensive onboarding process

ai marketing bots: testing out tidio

After filling out the questionnaire, I was redirected to the flow dashboard. Here, I could train Tidio on common sales and support flows to automate repetitive conversations. You can even set up flows to recommend products to bottom-of-the-funnel buyers.

        What I like:

        • Uses your internal docs and support tickets to answer customer questions.
        • Responds quickly with good accuracy.
        • Redirects to human agents for complicated queries.

        What can be improved:

        • Long loading times.
        • Multi-tiered pricing, which can have hidden costs.
        • Tidio is heavily dependent on company documentation.

Pricing: Lyro AI Agent’s monthly plans start at $39 and annual plans at $32.50. Flow’s monthly plans start at $29, and annual plans start at $24.17. The entire Tidio customer service suite annual plan varies between $24–$749, with custom pricing for premium customers.

        What experts say:

Gary Warner, marketing manager at Joloda Hydraroll, told me, “We use Tidio as it was simple to install, the pricing plan was reasonable, reviews were very high, and we were reassured that many big brands have already tried and tested their AI offering. It works on a mobile site, and we have it placed on every page.”

Warner also says the chatbot can deliver support in multiple languages, a big benefit for a global business.

Should you use AI marketing bots?

        The short answer? Yes.

Integrating AI marketing bots into my workflow has helped me save so much time. But more importantly, I’ve been able to do things that I would have needed to outsource. For instance, managing my lead management system or creating presentations. All of this helps me deliver faster and deliver a better client experience.

Of course, you still need to guide these bots and edit their output so you have a polished final product. But for what they offer, AI marketing bots are a terrific asset. So, try out the above bots, choose which ones deliver the most impact for your workflow, and build your AI marketing bot stack.
