How to Begin Video Marketing

.

There are multiple options to go about video marketing. You can build a presentation with screen-capturing using PowerPoint or CamcorderExcel. A production person can mix together images and music and create a final product with video editing software. Recording can be done anywhere with a flip cam or other video-recording tools.

All of this may be used to produce things like how-to’s, customer features, valuable content, news, product updates, and event previews to be presented via webinars, email and social media.

As is emerges, video marketing may just blow over sales reps. The fundamentals of the popular channel were covered by myBrainshark’s Product Marketing Director Jay Wilder, Pixability’s Marketing Director Yelena Kadeykina, Jim Kukral, and Maggie Georgieva, an inbound marketing manager at HubSpot.

Catch the Beginner’s Guide to Video Marketing here and absorb a few takeaways below.

Choosing a Platform

Tracking, privacy, distributed authorship, content management, YouTubeonline playback, mobile playback. YouTube is currently the number two search engine after Google. Those who publish their videos to the site benefit as it drives SEO, allows personality, simplifies sharing and commenting, and has a remarkable ad network.

Measuring Success

Include video on landing pages, test everything, include CTAs (calls to action) during and at the end of videos, use a special tracking link, and have video testimonials available. You can measure your success by tracking video views, embeds and Google blended search results.

Quality > Quantity

You may or may not have budget for a video. Break videos into two categories: content that will change and content that is long-time material. Don’t spend the money if it’s going to change. Invest in the content that will serve purpose for a long time.

How to Incorporate Videos to Facebook Successfully: Upload vs. Share

FacebookMake video the first thing viewers can see on your landing page. (Use iframe uploader.) Video is one of the most powerful ways to market to people, and we see it everywhere on Facebook. Some video companies have apps you can plug into your fan page. Aside from a landing page, you may also want to create a tabbed video collection. And a side note: don’t update Facebook as often as Twitter- you’ll clutter newsfeeds.

Good point right there Tom. I would agree with you on the thing that youtube is the second search engine in ranking. For those who wants to do online marketing, you may have to consider venturing your market to youtube.

Video marketing has become the vital part of the internet marketing. Utilize video in your marketing campaign. Don't stop yourself with this statement, "It’s too expensive" or "I don’t want to spend a whole bunch of money shooting videos."
