Linkedin Basic Overview: What LinkedIn's Free Version Includes

If you only use LinkedIn to network and find jobs, you should probably stick with LinkedIn Basic. It's completely free, and comes with the ability to search for other users, view their profile (if they're a first-, second-, or third-degree connection), set up and save custom searches, learn if anyone new qualifies for those searches on a weekly basis, build out your personal profile, and see the last five users who viewed your profile.

This is typically more than enough for the typical professional. However, salespeople, entrepreneurs, and founders often find themselves running out searches or trying to contact people outside of their network.

If reaching out to those you don't know is part of your weekly or daily routine, consider upgrading to a paid version of LinkedIn.
